19yr Old Arrested for Providing Firearm to Kyle Rittenhouse

Police charged a man with two felony counts after determining that he provided Kyle Rittenhouse with the firearm used in Kenosha. Dominick Black, 19, purchased the gun from Ladysmith Ace Home Center on behalf of the 17-year old, who paid for it.

Police indicated that Black acted on Rittenhouse's behalf because the Antioch resident was a minor, thus prohibited from buying a gun.

The two agreed to store the firearm in Black's stepdad's house in Kenosha because Rittenhouse lacked the Illinois Firearm Owner Identification card (FOID).

The two youths later met at Black's stepdad's house in Kenosha, where Rittenhouse collected his Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle. Black and Rittenhouse planned on volunteering to protect Car Source on Sheridan Road.

On the same day, Rittenhouse used the firearm to shoot the two violent attackers, Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum, at 11:49 P.M., during Jacob Blake's riots. Video evidence and eyewitnesses confirm that both individuals attacked and tried to grab Rittenhouse's firearm.

Black faces two felony counts of deliberately giving a dangerous weapon to a minor, causing death. He could face 12 years in prison if found guilty. The court set his bail at $2,500 and will appear for the hearing next week.

Prosecutors in Illinois had previously lifted any possible underage weapon possession charges against the 17-year old. This decision was arrived after determining that Rittenhouse's firearm was bought, stored, and used in Wisconsin. Weapon possession by a minor charge is among the accusations that the 17-year old will face in Kenosha.
