A BLACK PROTESTOR WEARING ‘GUNS SAVE LIVES’ OPPOSES RACIAL NARRATIVE, BLASTS GOVERNOR BLACKFACE

A Black protester wearing a “Guns Save Lives” sticker opposed the media depiction of the Virginia Lobby Day gun rally as a White Supremacist event.

“What I also don’t support is the fact that every news piece you’ve seen on this weekend, they’ve always brought up the issue of race as though it’s nothing but white rednecks and hillbillies out here who care for the Second Amendment,” the protester said.

His clip is making rounds around social media and has been watched by hundreds of thousands.

Similarly, Maj Toure, the founder of Black Guns Matter, blasted Governor “Blackface” Ralph Northam for his gun control and criminalization of private gun sales. He disputed the myth that “the Second Amendment is only for old white dudes.”

Speaking to Sirius XM, Toure indicated that gun control has always been anchored on racism.

“The history of gun control in America has been very — extremely — racist from the beginning,” Toure said.

He pointed out that although gun owners were peaceful, it is their obligation to oppose tyranny.

“Our obligation is to defy and not comply with unjust laws. SB64 — Senate Bill 64 — and what governor blackface down there in Virginia is trying to do is very tyrannical,” Toure added.

“Hey, we’re not wildin’ out here, but at the same time, we’re [resisting] unjustifiable, very racist practices in the form of gun control.”

Toure said that gun control affects Black people disproportionately, especially those living in dangerous

neighborhoods.

“Okay, I’m in a rough neighborhood. I want to defend myself, but I can’t, because of some arbitrary statute that is in direct violation of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights of the United States of America,” Toure said.

The Black Guns movement educates African Americans about the Second Amendment and firearm safety, especially in the inner cities.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
