Anti-2A Group Wants A Gun Control Director, $1 Billion Budget, and Reserved Racial Positions

We know what gun control groups mean when they demand “gun violence prevention.” While we are all for saving lives and stopping crimes we disagree that disarming law-abiding Americans would achieve these objectives. This is because many times over, criminals have proven their inability to obey gun control laws.

Unfortunately, gun control groups still believe that denying Americans the rights to defend themselves would reduce crime. To them, crime prevention is synonymous with disarming law-abiding citizens.

The kids at March for Our Lives requested the Biden administration to appoint a Director of Gun Violence Prevention with cabinet-level authority and a $1 billion kitty. The funds would be used to address urban gun violence through community incentives. The director would also create a task force on gun violence with 25% of positions reserved for the youth and people of color.

Democrats have consistently claimed that “gun violence” disproportionately affects communities of color. Coincidentally, they also discourage minorities from owning firearms, claiming the gun ownership is consistent with “white supremacy.”

The anti-2A group wants the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to conduct more research on gun violence. This proposal would lead to the declaration of gun violence as a national health crisis. Biden has frequently referred to crimes involving the use of firearms as “the gun violence public health epidemic.”

March for Our Lives also wants the administration to monitor law enforcement gun violence. Other gun-control groups such as Moms Demand Action claimed that “police violence is gun violence” and supported the defunding of the Police.

Biden called for the enactment of gun control laws on the third anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that killed 17 people and wounded another 17. He said that there was “no time to wait” in passing gun control laws.

“The anniversary statement was a great start but these demands were an opportunity for us to say we definitely want to see action from Congress, we definitely want to see appropriations from Congress, but at the same time there are changes that can be made at the executive level,” March for Lives policy director Max Markham told The Hill.

“Highlight the executive side over the legislative side.”

Gun control groups are fighting for powerful positions in the Biden administration using identity politics. The administration already claimed that such groups would play a “critical role” in its gun control agenda. White House press secretary Jen Psaki also confirmed that the administration held a virtual discussion with the gun control groups.

It seems that the gun control groups finally made it to the government through the backdoor. It’s for the same reason that they spent fortunes to buy politicians who they would control to ensure that they retained the real power with the politicians being mere stooges.
