Antifa and Black Lives Matter vowed to riot if President Trump is re-elected. The groups posted messages on social media urging their members to come out and vote on November 3, and “hit the streets” thereafter. Their message suggests that the violent far-left groups will riot regardless of the outcome of the November 3 elections.
Some chapters of Antifa and BLM adopted a more radical approach to the ongoing political issues in the country. Sacramento Black Lives Matter requested its members to receive firearm training so that they could operate weapons for self-defense. Although we support the Second Amendment rights of all Americans, we do not support the abuse of firearms for criminal purposes.
Sacramento BLM Chapter is fundraising for the training of its members. The group leader requested each donor to sponsor 10 members to receive gun training.
“The money would go towards anyone in the black community that is looking to sign up to learn about gun safety,” CBS Sacramento reported. “The course would cover teaching everything from how to hold, clean, safely store, and shoot a gun.”
Both Antifa and BLM also called for the defunding of the police. This is despite the group being responsible for lawlessness and wanton destruction of property in the city. The groups also accused the police and white supremacists of targeting the black community. BLM Sacramento claims that it was running out of resources to defend itself.
“As Black folks, we have learned that we are running out of resources when it comes to being protected,” the BLM fundraising statement reads.
“Police are killing us. White nationalists are threatening us,” BLM posted on Facebook.
Meanwhile, businesses in Beverly Hills, California, were advised to board up their windows in anticipation of riots. Rodeo Drive would also be closed for cars and pedestrians.
“The notice also stated that no businesses should be operating ‘out of safety for the community and business patrons’ during the road closure,” the Daily Mail reported.
Authorities also expect rioting in the rest of Los Angeles after the announcement of the results. Law enforcement officers across the country anticipate that the riots will not be isolated to a few cities. Other cities such as Portland, where rioting is a new normal, will experience an escalation in violence by the leftist groups immediately after the announcement of the results.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
