Trump supporters converged outside an election center in Maricopa County, Arizona, to protest Fox News’ decision to prematurely announce Biden’s victory in Arizona. The news network suggested that Biden should bag Arizona’s 11 electoral college votes before half a million votes were counted. Biden was leading by about 60,000 votes when Fox News made the premature announcement.
The crowd of about 200 protesters, some armed, chanted “Fox News Sucks” and “Shame on Fox.” Some protesters demanded entry into the polling station. The situation remained peaceful and there were no arrests or citations, according to Maricopa County Sheriff.
Jason Miller, a senior adviser of the Trump campaign, called Fox News a “complete outlier.”
"We only need 61 percent of the outstanding, uncounted Election Day votes in Arizona to win. These votes are coming from 'our counties,' and the 61 percent figure is very doable based on what our other Election Day votes are looking like,” Miller said. “Fox News should retract their call immediately."
Another footage shows Trump supporters booing Fox’s journalist covering the elections in Phoenix.
Charlie Kirk, a conservative pro-Trump activist, addressed the protesters receiving applause.
“When we start auditing some of these voter rolls, their fraud may actually be exposed.”
Amy Mek, a staunch pro-Trump activist said the hatred for Fox News was unanimous.
“Conservatives and Democrats finally UNITE thanks to their mutual hate for FOX News! Listen to Trump supporters in Arizona chant ‘Shame on Fox.’ FOX News is working with the Democrat Party's coup attempt,” Mek tweeted. “These FRAUDS called Arizona for BIDEN last NIGHT.”
Fox News has been drifting away and asserting itself against President Trump within the past few months. Several presenters such as Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Laura Ingraham have been undermining Trump with the blessing of Fox’s top executives.
