Black Gun Owners Protect Businesses During Riots as Killer Mike Urges the Community to Embrace 2A
A group of armed black men stood on guard with guns to protect their businesses from marauding looters taking part in the protests in St Paul, Minnesota. The group of between 6 and 10 was spread out with about two armed men guarding the entrance of each business.
"Run up in here and see what happens," one of the armed men said.
The event took place a few days after Killer Mike urged the Black community to embrace the Second Amendment rights. Mike said owning a firearm was among the God-given rights black people could use to defend themselves in an Op-Ed article on Colorlines. He added that it was impossible to solely depend on the police for protection, a message that was embraced well by the armed men.
"I put this statement out because the police cannot always get to you on time, and the world is not a just place," Mike said.
Killer Mike, whose real name is Michael Render, added that gun ownership was not a radical response but a rational one.
"This is not a revolutionary response: It's a rational one. You defend what you care about," said Render.
In a later interview with CNN, the rapper urged the community to stop burning down their businesses.
"It is your duty not to burn your house down." Render said. "It is your duty to fortify your house that you may be a house of refuge in times of organization."
“The challenge is for Black people, Black media and allies to normalize gun ownership. We should be highlighting and showcasing responsible gun owners.”
It is impressive to see the Black community not coddling to the leftist anti-gun propaganda and embracing responsible gun ownership. The same leftist media has painted the community as the major perpetrator of gun violence, thus discouraging members from taking part in lawful gun ownership.
Leftist outlets, such as CNN, thrive on spreading the fear of guns and exploiting the anxiety of the community to push a political agenda of their bankrollers. The network became a recipient of the wrath of the protestors after they realized how the fake news media was exploiting the protests instead of spreading peace in honor of Floyd.
Other Black Second Amendment proponents, such as Maj Toure, have concentrated on training firearm training and awareness programs for the Black communities to ensure gun safety. Rick Ector, the founder of Legally Armed in hosted the Blacks and Latinos Against Racist Empowerment in Lansing, Michigan. The rally reiterated the need for minorities to embrace the Second Amendment rights.
Historically, the Democrats supported slavery and were against the armament of Black people to ensure they remained helpless. Quite recently, some well-known Democrats, such as Michael Bloomberg, have enacted discriminatory firearm policies targeting only the Black people.
Democrats have also pushed the racial narrative that gun ownership was a characteristic of racist white "rednecks." By disarming the minority, the liberals achieve part of their disarmament agenda for the rest of Americans to make way for Tyranny.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
