Everytown For Gun Safety and Forward Majority To Spend $8.2 Million in Texas

Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety plans to spend $2.2 million to flip the Texas house and enact Virginia-style gun control. The gun-control group plans to snatch 12 seats under Republican control, mostly in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburban districts. Democrats should retake nine seats to gain majority control in Texas House. The Lone Star State districts 26, 64, 66, 67, 92, 94, 96, 108, 112, 121, 134, and 138 are among Everytown’s top priority.

Lone Star Gun Rights has stood on the wall guarding your right to defend you and your family, fighting against infringements of our freedoms and recruiting the army needed to combat this assault. Join Lone Star Gun Rights to help spread the message to Texans bombarded by the Leftist propaganda campaign messages paid for by Bloomberg and Soros.

We are Texalorians... Weapons are our religion.... This is the way, y'all... Show your Texalorian Pride with this kick ass shirt!

The Bloomberg-funded group will target suburban voters with political messages through various ads. Everytown will attempt to dissuade voters from electing Republicans by blaming them for failing to enact gun control in the gun-friendly state. Some Republicans, including the Lieutenant Gov. Dan Patrick, has shown support for the enactment of universal background checks.

“The Republican-led state Legislature had plenty of opportunities to take action on gun safety,” said Charlie Kelly, senior political advisor for Everytown. “Instead, they’ve weakened gun laws across the board, even as Texans have faced four of the nation’s deadliest mass shootings.”

Kelly said his organization would coordinate its activities with Forward Majority, another progressive group hoping to undermine GOP’s domination of the state House. The group also plans to inject $6 million into the Texas state House race. The two groups will target voters using different messages to diversify the message and reach more Texans.

Elsewhere, Everytown will spend over $60 million in the nationwide campaign to bolster anti-gun candidates in Pennsylvania, Iowa, North Carolina, Arizona, Minnesota, and other states.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
