Everytown for Gun Safety Recruits the Clergy, Controversial Pastor to Push its Anti-2A Agenda

Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety group intends to recruit religious leaders to support its various gun control activities. The interfaith group comprising of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Sikh religious leaders will sensitize their congregation to boost voter turnout in support of various anti-gun candidates running for office.

The group also intends to “educate” believers on firearm-related matters. The interfaith group will hold 50 events involving faith and guns before the November elections. The events will take place in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Some notable individuals taking part in the exercise include evangelical Pastor Shane Claiborne who serves as the president of Red Letter Christian. The United Church of Christ minister and Lives Matter movement member Rev. Traci Blackmon is also among the clergy selected for the gun control activity. Rev. Rob Schenck, the former pro-life pastor who now supports abortion and regrets fighting to save lives of the unborn, will also take part in the campaigns.

We are Texalorians... Weapons are our religion.... This is the way, y'all... Show your Texalorian Pride with this kick ass shirt!

Everytown’s founder, Bloomberg, has endorsed Biden, who, in return, has promised to bolster security in places of worship. Biden criticized Texas Gov. Greg Abbot for signing a bill allowing guns in places of worship. A church shooting in Sutherland Springs Church in Texas that claimed 26 lives in 2017 inspired the law. However, Biden claimed allowing guns in churches would not stop a mass shooting. He was proven wrong after a churchgoer, Jack Wilson, neutralized an active shooter, Keith Thomas Kinnunen, in West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement.

Gun control groups intend to exploit the religious people and misinform them about gun control. However, most evangelical Christians are patriotic conservatives who actively support Second Amendment rights. As a result, the reception of the message might not be as good as intended by the Bloomberg blood money financed group. But that wouldn’t stop gun control activists from exploiting religion to push their political agenda.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
