Facebook Bans Weapon Accessories And Protective Equipment Until After Biden's Inauguration
Joe Biden's inauguration has the whol+e country walking on eggshells, possibly, a sign of what's to come. It seems everything is canceled until Biden becomes president and it is difficult to predict when or whether we will get back to our normal lives.
Unsurprisingly, anti-gun entities are more than happy to exploit the non-existent "insurrection" and "gun crisis" to push the envelope on gun control.
Facebook announced it would block ads on "weapon accessories and protective equipment" until the inauguration takes place. Ironically, the items banned are those supposed to keep people safe such as gun safes and holsters - so much for "gun safety."
"We are banning ads that promote weapon accessories and protective equipment in the U.S. at least through January 22, out of an abundance of caution," Facebook said in a blog post. "We already prohibit ads for weapons, ammunition, and weapon enhancements like silencers. But we will now also prohibit ads for accessories such as gun safes, vests, and gun holsters in the U.S."
Additionally, Facebook announced that it was monitoring "signals of violence" in Washington, D.C., and all 50 states.
BuzzFeed earlier reported that Facebook had shown body armor, holsters, and military equipment ads to people who interacted with posts related to Capitol protests. It seems Facebook forgot to appease the anti-gunners and had to make up for it by enforcing a bigger ban.
In addition to gun-related ad bans, Facebook also restricted new events from being created near the White House, the Capitol, and state buildings. It seems the censorship associated with Biden's presidency would be bigger than that enacted during Obama's inauguration and term in office.
Through the years, the Left is inventing more ways to control Americans' minds to keep them suppressed on all fronts. This is hardly surprising considering that all gun control is based on people control.
