Florida Sheriff: "I'm Highly Recommending They Blow You Back Out of the House with Their Guns"
A Florida sheriff warned protestors and members of Antifa threatening to invade the suburbs of a deadly outcome. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd first warned criminals that his officers would pursue and lock up criminals intending to cause mayhem in the county. He then sounded a stern warning against those planning to invade the suburbs. He said he had received credible reports of criminals planning to extend the violence to the suburbs.
"I would tell them, if you value your life, they probably shouldn't do that in Polk County. Because the people of Polk County like guns, they have guns, I encourage them to own guns, and they're going to be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded, and if you try to break into their homes to steal, to set fires, I'm highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns. So, leave the community alone," Sheriff Judd said.
Judd said some of the protestors were highly organized criminals who were not interested in practicing their First Amendment rights, but to cause trouble. He said some rioters were wearing professional riot gear to protect them from police anti-riot equipment. The sheriff held out a picture of a suspected professional rioter wearing a mask to keep out pepper spray and tear gas. He asked the public to provide information that would to the arrest of such people.
The sheriff said some were out of state elements infiltrating the protests with criminal intentions. He blamed outsiders for trouble witnessed on Florida Avenue and Memorial Boulevard. Another peaceful protest in Munn Park in Lakeland started peacefully before disintegrating into chaos leading to the deployment of SWAT teams. However, there were no reports of looting. Despite the reported cases of clashes with the police, protests in Polk County have been relatively peaceful.
Polk County was among the jurisdictions that had adopted the Second Amendment resolutions after commissioners voted unanimously in support.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
