A Louisiana Congressman ranted about his intentions to shoot armed protesters who showed up menacingly armed. The legislator said such an action was tantamount to making a criminal threat and that he was prepared to respond in eliminating the threat.
In the fiery post which was removed by Facebook for inciting violence, Rep. Clay Higgins said he did not care about the skin color of the protesters or if they belonged to the Right or the Left.
However, the congressman shared a picture of the exclusively African American “Not F**king Around Coalition” (NFAC) militia. The photo was taken during the Louisville armed protest over the killing of Breonna Taylor – an African American firearm owner fatally shot by police while asleep during a no-knock raid at her apartment.
The militia protesting her death was an out of state group and appeared for the protest heavily armed and dressed in all black. Some militia members were hospitalized after a suspected shooting incident and an accidental firearm discharge from one of the participants. Even the notorious Black Lives Matter disowned the group calling it “outside agitators.”
“If this shows up, we’ll consider the armed presence a real threat,” the post claimed.
“We being the people of Louisiana. One way ticket fellas. Have your affairs in order. Me? … I wouldn’t even spill my beer. I’d drop any 10 of you where you stand.”
Higgins warned the protesters against showing up aggressively in his presence or his neighborhood. He added his actions were “not personal” and that he did not want to see the protesters’ “worthless a**” or make their mothers cry. He added that his declaration was not a threat but a promise.
“You’re the one’s threatening, if you show yourselves, aggressively natured and armed, in my presence. In my neighborhood.”
Higgins is an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment rights and has been championing for expanded gun rights including open carry.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
