Nikki Fried Cashing In On Trump’s “Gun Grabber” Label For Her Political Committee

Whether a mass shooting, a hurricane, or COVID-19, Democrats never miss an incident to exploit for political and financial gain. Nikki Fried, Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, found a ridiculous reason to ask for donations to pad her political campaigns. After Trump lambasted her for being a gun grabber, Ms. Fried turned the remarks into a fundraising pitch for her political committee.

Fried had suspended the online application for concealed carry permits in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. She claimed that the pandemic had “rendered our department unable to take fingerprints for concealed weapons license applicants at this time.” The suspension was the subject of a lawsuit for violating the second amendment of Floridians.

Trump said that she “opposes Second Amendment rights. It’s no wonder she supports Joe Biden, who says he will come for Americans’ guns.”

We are Texalorians... Weapons are our religion.... This is the way, y'all... Show your Texalorian Pride with this kick ass shirt!

After Trump’s remarks, Fried claimed that Trump had attacked everybody by criticizing her anti-gun stance.

“It’s time to fight back. When Trump attacked me, he attacked all of us — can you give $20.00, $40.00, or $60.00 to help us defend against his childish insults?” the commissioner said.

Fried hopes to run against Gov. Ron DeSantis during the 2022 elections. However, her relevance during the current presidential race has sunk into oblivion. Consequently, the desperate gubernatorial hopeful tries to make the best use of the little attention she gets to keep her gubernatorial hopes afloat.

Fried failed to collect enough donations for her political advocacy group to run an election campaign against the incumbent effectively. She resorted to passive-aggressive tactics of criticizing the governor for the press. Additionally, the desperate commissioner was forced to adopt juvenile methods of collecting donations from naïve liberal voters.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
