Pro Gun Lauren Boebert Wins in Colorado's Third Congressional District
Updated: Nov 18, 2020
Lauren Boebert, 33, is a Second Amendment firebrand with a strong media presence owns a Rifle, Colorado, open carry restaurant. She shot to prominence after confronting the gun-grabber Beto O'Rourke by looking him into the eyes and telling him, "I am here to say, ‘Hell no, you’re not.’”
She went ahead and defeated the Trump-endorsed Congressman Scott Tipton during the Republican primaries.
Now she won Colorado's Third Congressional District seat with a solid majority. She faced former state Rep. Diane Mitsch Bush, who branded herself as a moderate despite being a radical left who hates the Second Amendment.
Diane also supported The Green New Deal, amnesty for illegal immigrants, and Medicare for All. Boebert also accused the Republican primaries challenger Rep. Tipton of supporting the amnesty by backing the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.
Boebert says that her objective is to deliver the promises she made during the election. She says that the House of Representatives should be the voice of the people and not a club for career politicians and lawyers.
"My campaign was successful because voters could see through all of the political B.S. being thrown my way and recognized that I would stand up for them in Washington, D.C.," Boebert said.
She described herself as the type of representative "our Founders envisioned to have a say in a government of, by and for the people."
"I couldn't be more honored to have the opportunity as a mom and a small business owner from rural Colorado to have a say in how our country is governed," Boebert explained.
She adds that the race was between freedom and more government control. Rightly so, gun control is about people control. She said that her campaign was to make sure that the conservative voices were heard.
The open carry restaurant owner says that she works for the people and not for special interests or Washington D. C. She signed a pledge with her voters to support strong national defense and oppose the Green New Deal and other communist projects. She opposes the socialist wave spread by hardcore left-wing radicals like New York's Fourteenth District Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).
The New York Times-described "Glock-wearing conservative" also swore to defend the Second Amendment rights and the freedom of expression of Americans.
"I won't let them take away our guns. I'll always stand up for freedom of speech."
She opposes the "entrenched federal bureaucracy" with over 2 million employees earning more than Main Street. Term limits for politicians also earned her endorsement. The 33-year old also supports more presidential powers for the incumbent to confront the Deep State.
The Shooters Grill restaurant owner also supports free markets and fewer government regulations. She supports private healthcare where Americans have the right to choose their plan.
"Healthcare should be personal and portable with transparent and competitive pricing. Veterans should have a private-sector option, too!"
