St. Louis Armed Couple Receives 50 Offers to Replace the AR-15 Seized by Authorities

The McCloskey's have received overwhelming support from gun stores who offered to replace their confiscated AR-15, the family lawyer, Joel Schwartz, told Forbes. However, the couple respectfully turned down the offers.

Alien Armory Tactical is one of the gun retailers who have publicly made an offer to replace the confiscated firearm. The gun store also offered to provide the couple with free training so they could be well prepared to protect their property.

St Louis Police took possession of the firearm after executing a search warrant on the couple's home. The couple's former lawyer, who is a potential witness, also turned in the inoperable handgun displayed by Ms. McCloskey during the horrifying encounter with BLM rioters who forced their way through the couple's property.

The rioters made the stop at the couple's property on their way to Mayor Lyda Krewson's home to force her resignation after she released the names of those who demanded the defunding of the police. The mayor's house has been vandalized several times by agitators.

Kim Gardner, the prosecutor investigating the case, has been working relentlessly to whip up any charges against the couple. The family lawyer says criminal charges are more likely than ever to be filed against the couple who were within their rights to defend their property. The defense attorney said such charges were unwarranted.

The McCloskey's have continued to receive support, including 12 GOP legislators who wrote to AG William Barr, urging him to show leadership and support the Second Amendment on behalf of the couple and other Americans. Various lawyers have also pointed out that the couple's reaction was justified under the prevailing circumstances at that time.

"Missouri is a Castle Doctrine state, permitted among the broadest latitudes of any state in using even deadly force to protect yourself or your property," Attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon tweeted. "This couple used NO force, despite the imminent threat from a trespassing mob. The seizure of weapons is government overreach."

Missouri Attorney General, Eric Schmitt. also agreed that the couple had expansive rights to protect their property under the Castle Doctrine.

Meanwhile, the Soros-funded continues to ignore actual violent offenders while focusing on McCloskey's to appease the left for political clout.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
