Texas Gun Shop Owner Shoots An Armed Robber After Faking Heart Attack

A lone 77-year-old gun shop owner was visited by four masked men pretending to be ordinary customers. After making sure the coast was clear, they held him at gunpoint while loading their easy grab.

Mike Brown, the owner of Mike's Gun Room, said the criminals told him to get behind the counter and then lie down on the floor.

However, the store operator had a trick up his sleeve, which he had rehearsed for the 26 years he owned the store.

We are Texalorians... Weapons are our religion.... This is the way, y'all... Show your Texalorian Pride with this kick ass shirt!

"I've got a heart medication, and I've got to get to my pills," Brown said.

He pretended to suffer a heart attack, thus managed to move away from the pistol hanging over his head. He pretended to reach his medicine but instead grabbed his firearm. Unfortunately, by the time he got back, only one robber was at his store. The others had already left the store and preparing to leave. Brown ordered him to stop at gunpoint.

"I told him to stop," the shop owner said. "He turned around, and I saw he had one handgun in his hand when he turned around."

The 77-year-old pulled the trigger, striking him on the shoulder. The criminal dropped on the floor as the police arrived and apprehended him. His accomplices, however, managed to escape with 50 stolen firearms.

"I'm sorry I had to shoot somebody, but — better than Plan B," Brown said. He also warned the criminals from returning.

"Don't come back, I've got more ammo," Brown said.

The police launched a manhunt for the criminals who drove off in a Chevy Impala using paper license plates. The ATF offered a $10,000 reward to anybody who provides information leading to the arrest of the criminals. Unfortunately, Brown did not have any surveillance equipment, which is a major security oversight for a gun store.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
