Trump’s ex-University forces a Student to Undergo “Political Re-Education” After Posing with a Rifle
A Fordham University student was forced to take “political-re-education” classes after posting pictures of himself with a rifle. The administration told Austin Tong that he had violated the University’s rules “relating to bias/and or hate crimes” and “threats/intimidation.” Trump attended Fordham University for two years.
The University also banned Tong from entering the campus without advance permission from the dean, taking any leadership role, or representing the University in any extracurricular activities. He will remain on probation until he graduates and will only take remote classes. He must write an apology and complete bias training with the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
The University’s decision came after Tong posted a picture with a rifle and the caption, “Don’t tread on me #198964.” The #198964 hashtag is related to the memorial of the Tiananmen Square massacre of April 15 – June 4, 1989, where the Chinese People’s Liberation Army killed about 10,000 people during the student-led push for democracy.
Earlier, the Tong had posted the picture of David Dorn, the retired Black St. Louis police captain who was murdered during BLM riots while responding to the looting that was taking place. The picture had a caption saying, “Y’all a bunch of hypocrites,” indicating how the media was silent about the death of the black officer because BLM supporters killed him.
Many students accused him of “inciting anger” and “hurting the minority groups.” In response, Tong said it was in memory of thousands of unarmed students who could not defend themselves and thus were killed by the Chinese Communist regime.
“This post is my appreciation toward the United States and the privilege in this country to have the right to bear arms, to have a populace that can defend itself from tyranny.”
Tong said that he believed freedom came from a strong and armed populace. He added that violence should not be tolerated, and the Second Amendment was there to protect Americans from such. After the University found him guilty, Tong said he violated no rules.
“I expressed my appreciation of the 2nd Amendment and mourning of the anniversary of a Chinese Democratic movement by posting a picture of my legally purchased rifle in my home, and my sympathetic feeling toward Black Police Officer David Dorn.”
Tong said he would sue the University, up to the supreme court, unless the University withdraws the punishment. He said he was subjected to communist-style interrogation and harassed by leftist mobs.
Tong is also a minority of an immigrant Chinese American family. The majority of the brainwashed students, including white liberals, accused him of “hurting the minorities” after showing solidarity with a slain black officer and proving that minorities, too, had equal rights to enjoy the Second Amendment. That itself is proof of racist gun control. If anything, Tong should be celebrated by the minorities for challenging minority stereotypes.
However, he was branded an enemy because his actions did not align with leftist propaganda. Apparently, he is not a minority because he does not support the Left's propaganda of disarming the minorities and condoning the death of law-abiding African Americans who believe in the rule of the law. However, if he took part in looting and burning property, he would have been hailed as a hero.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
