Joe Biden indecently responded to a Detroit car factory worker who pointed out that the former vice president would confiscate law-abiding citizens' firearms. Biden visited the Fiat Chrysler plant to meet union workers ahead of the Democratic contest in the state. Many blue-collar workers do not support his push for more gun control.
"You are actively trying to end our Second Amendment right and take away our guns," the factory worker said from a few feet away.
"You’re full of s***,” Biden responded to the worker. “I did not. No, no, shush, shush. I support the Second Amendment.”
Biden explained that he owns a 12-gauge shotgun and that his sons take part in hunting. He asked the factory worker whether he needed 100 rounds to hunt. Biden went into defensive mode as the factory worker pointed out how O’Rourke had sworn to take people’s guns away. Biden has recently appointed the failed presidential contender as his point man on gun control issues.
“You and Beto say you’re going to take our guns,” the worker persisted.
“I did not say that,” Biden said, “That’s not true. I did not say that.”
"You're working for me, man," the worker said.
“I'm not working for -- gimme a break, man," Biden said. "Don't be such a horse's a**."
"Machine guns are illegal," the factory worker said.
"That's right, so are AR-15s illegal," Biden replied.
The man schooled Biden that AR-15s were not machine guns and that handguns posed a higher risk than semi-automatic rifles.
The confused Biden walked away in disgrace, unable to counter the argument. Biden’s behavior came under criticism from his Democratic rival, as well as Trump’s campaign. The indecent Biden’s reaction could be attributed to his inability to argue with the facts put forward by the factory worker.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is pushing universal background checks in our state, and if left unchecked, it will not be long until we see bills like this getting traction in Austin. Texas is embarrassingly ranked 29th for gun rights, and with the help of the political elites in Austin, we will surely rank among New York, California, and Illinois if left to their own devices. Please join our fight today, and help us restore Texas' place as the standard for the U.S.
